8th Annual Celebrate Freedom!
Celebrate Freedom! is a discount program for active military, the reserves, the National Guard, retired military personnel as well as military veterans, law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical services during the entire month of August. To receive this discount you must bring your ID to Pigeon Forge Welcome Center. Welcome Center Location: 1950 Parkway, Pigeon Forge. Located next to the Miracle Theater.

New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks
Gatlinburg welcomes the arrival of 2008 with a street party that begins around 11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31. An estimated crowd of 40,000 revelers gather in the streets of downtown Gatlinburg. At the stroke of midnight, the sky will light up with a fireworks and music show. The event is free to the public and features music and free party favors. Located on Historic Nature Trail Rd near the Space Needle in downtown Gatlinburg.
